You begin with a small garden, where you tend to crops, catch pests, and sell your produce to earn Gold. As you accumulate resources, you can expand your cultivated land, automate tasks, and explore mysterious new territories.
Joy Garden Gameplay
The gameplay loop in Joy Garden is highly accessible. You select seeds, sow them in empty plots, and watch your plants grow. When a plant needs water, a water-drop icon appears, prompting you to provide care. Sparkling light effects signal that your crops are ready for harvest. Notably, crops come in three sizes: small, normal, and giant. Harvesting a "giant" crop offers a delightful surprise, providing extra motivation every time you tend to your garden.
Catching pests and earning gold
Gardening isn't always smooth sailing; mischievous pests may appear on your plants, requiring you to use a net to catch them. Interestingly, both the pests you catch and the crops you harvest can be sold for Gold, turning the task of protecting your plants into an additional source of income.
Expanding the garden and automation
The Gold you earn can be used to accelerate plant growth, increase harvest yields, and unlock more planting plots. As your farm grows, tools such as automatic sprinklers, pest-catching birds, and automated harvesting systems help reduce the need for manual labor. You can even reconfigure your garden layout to make the entire process more hands-off and idle-friendly.
